"We would be back to visit again and stay in this cottage, really beautiful."

9.0

Beautiful location, cosy little cottage and appreciated the extras of wine and crisps. Checking in was easy, the cottage was warm and the book of instructions and local history was very useful. Everything was lovely and myself and my partner had the most beautiful break.

There is a plug socket in the kitchen that is hanging off the wall and is quite dangerous (especially if a child is there), the listing does say an oven is in the kitchen, but it's a microwave/grill combi which is very hard (even with the detailed instructions) to use as anything other than a microwave. The sofa is very hard and uncomfortable, and hadn't been cleaned down the back so there was a lot of crumbs and food left over from other guests. The bed is very firm (but we like that) and one side dips down so I kept on rolling out, easily solved by shoving a towel or something under the mattress though.

"Idyllic English coastal break with family"

10.0

The cottage was immaculate. Tucked away in the most beautiful village just next to the pub. The children loved the room in the roof with the shared bedroom, and there seemed to be so much space for such a small cottage. The location was easy access to Whitby, staithes and we travelled to Saltburn by the sea one day. Morning walks onto the beach which was located a minutes walk away was great.

The only issue was the water pressure. The shower was more of a trickle.

"Lovely place, would definitely stay in Runswick again."

It was really cosy

The water temperature in the kitchen was difficult to raise - no real instructions left about heating etc.

"Beautiful location, small but pretty cottage"

7.0

Beautifully decorated throughout, good quality fittings and with very comfortable beds and furniture.

It is so small that there is little room for dining. Access to one room is through the other and up extremely steep stairs which had to be carefully navigated.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful village

Dirty smell in kitchen area, filthy mop left in kitchen and floor not clean, mould around shower tray and bathroom sink plug broken/missing. Stains on furniture in living room and paint/plaster coming away from the wall. Beautiful property in need of a deep clean.

Lovely position, well equipped, comfortable traditional cottage. Lovely welcome with wine, milk and snacks.

Very steep stairs to upper bedroom. It was in the photos but would have been helpful to include in property description.
