The location is fantastic!!!

Small but we knew that prior to booking!

Cottage and high chair provided. Peaceful location (as in surrounding areas- annoying peacocks!)Nice and well equipped.

Might not be to everyone’s taste. We travelled with a toddler - it has wooden stairs that could be dangerous if a child was left unattended. Peacocks were a bit annoying as none of us was a fan - they kept fighting outside our cottage as well. Noisy at night as well. Light in a bathroom doesn’t have an on/off switch so stays on for a while - couldn’t keep the door shut as it was squeaky so would wake the little one up every time we wanted to use it. Also, hotel bar and restaurant were closed when we arrived - after a 5h journey we just wanted to have a quick drink/bite to eat and relax but instead we had to look around for food places.

The cottage is set in the most magical setting, exceptional value for money and an absolute gem of a property.

That I had to go home.

The view from the surrounding area was excellent. The peacocks were friendly enough.

The front door was clear, glass no privacy, and had a damaged voile covering. Curtains and track/rail in windows front and back on ground floor poorly hung and in need of replacing curtains and tracks/rail upstairs also in need of replacing ( 3 windows 2 with curtains). Bathroom very tiny, floor sloping . Paint work Walls in front room two different colours. Kitchen equipment kettle needs replacing, floor covering had a hole, the runners also black gaffer tape which were put down to separate the carpet and lino need to be removed and replaced with the same floor covering throughout the ground floor. Fresh coats of paint needed. Watch out for the potholes on the driveway.

Fully equipped kitchen, including stove, oven, toaster, and microwave. They even provide basic spices such as salt and pepper. Heaters work well, both downstairs (kitchen/living room area) and upstairs (sleeping area). Parking is right in front of the cottage. Location is a bit out of the way, but no problem with a car.
