Luxurious Beach House Chesil Beach. Sleeps 6

The property was amazing! Clean, cosy, perfectly situated and family friendly!

There was nothing I didn’t like about it! And that’s very rare for me as I’m quite picky 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

The location was fantastic, great cafe around the corner on the beach.

Very clean and secure.

The house was in a great location for local amenities and exploring Portland.

Wifi- The was no WiFi all weekend and despite raising this with the owners/host it felt they were unwilling to resolve/ help with this. When we arrived at the house the WiFi was not working, however alongside this the password on the sheet was incorrect. We located the WiFi box to punch in the correct WiFi password. When we notified the host that the WiFi wasn't working we were accused of 'digging out the router from the cupboard' and tampering with the router which guests were strictly not to do. I can see a previous review has stated that the WiFi password is incorrect, which was ignored, hence having to touch the router to try and rectify what we thought was the issue. We sent the 'talk talk' trouble shoot weblink to the host to prompt a resolve but the response from the host felt cold and unfriendly and not even an apology for the inconvenience and kept being told it was working before our arrival. Now, I appreciate no WiFi isn't the end of the world, but we are 6 Mummies that did need to be contactable for our families and it made it difficult to search the local amenities to explore on our phones and we could not use the smart TV channels on a wet dark weekend evening. Heating and water - there was no hot water and heating wasn't working for the Saturday morning during our stay. Although this was rectified quickly, again there was no apologies or warmth towards the inconvenience. I just wonder why host a holiday home, (which we would question if it's 'luxury') if hosting your guests and ensuring that the amenities you include are not guaranteed and not listening and taking on board previous reviews and comments stating the exact same issues. We decorated carefully and respectfully for our friends 50th birthday(a few banners) ensuring that we used a very small amount of blue tac and tape and ensured there was no marks, despite the walls being marked already from obvious use and traffic!

Location. House was well appointed and decorated. All comforts. Close to sea.

Could have had coffee table in lounge to place drinks.

Fantastic location! Really close to the beach.

It was difficult upon arrival since instructions took us down tiny, awkward road and we had to hunt for the wifi password since it was given wrong on the sheet. I have reported this though and the owner has said he will remedy. There is no coffee table, so living room is set up for watching the telly, but not sitting around with games or making conversation. Bed in our room is metal framed along the bottom, so is a toe snagged if you’re not used to this. Interior decoration is very generic.

Location was great, the amenities in the home were what was needed.

There was no corkscrew, so had to knock on a neighbours door. that's something I expect to be provided in a catered apartment
