"Great night's sleep, very attractive accommodation."

9.0

The size, style, and ambience of the accommodation are excellent. Everything was extremely clean and as new. Big TV if that is your thing. Very private, away from the family home in your own studio. I had a comfortable and great night's sleep. It was easy to find from the instructions provided. Although, for personal reasons, I didn't have time to explore the area properly, on leaving I found it was a very short distance from pretty Saltdean, the coast, and good walking areas. Richard had described a good walking loop I could have done. I met Richard and his young son, who were both delightful and helpful.

I approached from the direction of Newhaven. I would just say, if you do so too, don't be put off; it is not the prettiest of towns, being a large international port. Arriving from the Brighton/Saltdean direction is much nicer. Parking, whilst I could park right next to the studio on a private parking area, was a little awkward because of a concrete "ridge" at the edge of the boundary that you have to be accurate about getting the car tyres over, and not too much acceleration or you'll end up inside the studio! I was asked not to unplug anything if it was already plugged in, but I had two leads for charging, which was fine in the bedroom but no free sockets in the lounge because of all the equipment already plugged in. I prefer lamplight to overhead, and had to unplug something (was careful what) to plug the corner standard lamp in. Perhaps the use of a multi-plug extension could help this, although I'm guessing potential fire issues could be a problem.

"Superb Garden Getaway"

10.0

Self-contained with private parking which as motorcyclist is key for security as well as for loading/unloading. A getaway from the hubub of Brighton and Hove - a 5 minute stroll from two locals and the Smugglers Rest does great food and has to be the most dog friendly pubs I have been into.

Wish the water pressure was higher for the shower. This more of a niggle than a dislike.
