Thingvellir Lake Cottage

- quiet and peaceful surroundings - good size for a group of 4 adults(2 couples), wouldn't recommend going there with more people - well equipped kitchen - lake nearby - perfect for day trips to the sights in Thingvellir National Park

- not well insulated, difficult to heat when it gets cold - a bit dusty so my allergic asthma was triggered - not super clean, probably because the basic cleaning has to be done by the guests

great location, cozy lived-in family feel, comfortable sleep, very peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

very small rooms, basic (but sufficient) facilities. the hot tub didn’t appear to heat up.

It's really best for about 4 people. We made the mistake of having 7, (2 families) and it was just too small for that and could not accommodate 7 people showering, cooking, trying to be quiet if anyone was asleep, etc. But it was a great cabin besides that!!

Beautiful cottage in a quiet neighborhood great for exploring the golden circle on a weekend trip!
