nice and clean property. TV even had a chromecast so we could watch a movie. Also kitchen with great appliances.

quite a bit of cleaning had to be done in order not to get a cleaning fine.

quiet and close to major sights of the golden circle. hot tub was nice

oh my god, mice on the roof. could not sleep. very dated cabin. very small bedrooms. front door lock is very dangerous. self locking. couldn’t leave open when you’re in the hot tub due to mice. be very careful. nightmares of being locked out after hot tub

The cabin has everything necessary plus the excellent bonus of a nice hot tub. We loved it. They do require full cleaning by the guests at the end: bathroom, floor, etc. This seems to be typical in Iceland but it's not in the US, so be advised.

We loved this little place except for one thing: it's in a gated community. When first entering and then leaving at the end of the stay, a visitor doesn't have the gate opener and has to call the owner to open the gate. If, like us, you don't have reliable phone access in Iceland, that can be a problem. I was using Google voice to make calls over our wifi with mixed results and when we were leaving it cut out. We were late for the airport and couldn't get out. We ended up having to knock on a stranger's door to ask her to open the gate for us. My daughter had a hard time sleeping on the bunk bed, which had a very thin mattress such that the bed slats hurt her. The two double beds were very nice.
