Location was fabulous, liked being able to have own parking space. Nice little village with two pubs and grocery shop and lovely bakery/cafe. The cottage needed some updating and was quite old fashioned, looked tired in parts , particularly the kitchen, felt it needed a really good spring clean .

"A great long week/short fortnight. We plan on returning."

Ideally located for us with a car, it gave us a fifty-plus mile radius to explore on a daily basis, Lindisfarne, Berwick etc. The corner shop is good for daily supplies, also The Running Fox cafe does a very good breakfast and take-away pies, cakes and so on. The Village Inn is the best we've had for an evening meal! We can't comment on the restaurant along the road, we never got there.

The cooker hood in the kitchen needs padding/bright colours on the corners, I have two scars from hitting it, it is too low or too long for tall people who use the hob. Everything else was fine.

The cottage was in the ideal location to visit the many attractions of Northumberland. The dedicated parking for the cottage was great. The cottage was well appointed and comfortable.

"Cosy Cottage Stay"

The cottage was beautiful inside and out, set in a nice village in beautiful surroundings. The cottage was spacious and clean and great value for money. comfortable beds, had good nights sleep. welcome pack was appreciated.

I would of liked a freezer as I already bought a couple of freezer items that couldn't be frozen. also a washing line to hang the clothes, there was a small clothes airer but I could only hang a couple of items on it, but these were minor issues and just my preferences this didn't effect our stay here.

Although an unusual layout it was perfect for our needs

The top of the stairs to go down to the lower bedroom needs attention, the carpet is not fastened down and our disabled daughter identified it immediately as a potential trip hazard, she didn’t trip on it but it does need to be looked at.
