Casa Il Gufo e la Pupa

The property was central, well supplied, with a charming view of Matera from the balcony. We felt very cosy. The breakfast we enjoyed at Cafe Tripoli every morning (included in the accomodation) was exceptional.

Our host, Luciano met as as arranged and walked us to the property. We contacted him prior to our arrival to make arrangements and it was faultless, Luciano provided us with some historical information of the city and gave us a map to help us around. The apartment was in a fantastic location, a stones throw from the main square and the Sassi. The balcony overlooked the entire city and cathedral which was spectacular at night. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need. Vouchers are also provided for breakfast in the square. We are already booked to return!

Wspaniałe zakwaterowanie w centrum starego miasta z niesamowitym widokiem na katedrę i zabudowania centrum historycznego Matery. Mieszkanie jest bardzo wygodnie zaadoptowaną grotą w której prawdopodobnie jeszcze kilkadziesiąt lat temu mieszkali mieszkańcy Matery. Apartament składa się z dwóch pomieszczeń, łazienki, aneksu kuchennego i balkonu z którego można w ciągu dnia, a szczególnie w nocy podziwiać miasto. Mieszkanie jest bardzo czyste i wyposażone we wszystko co może się przydać podczas kilkudniowego pobytu. Bardzo dobrą opcją są zawarte w cenie bony śniadaniowe które można wykorzystać w pobliskich kawiarniach oraz miejsce parkingowe w pobliskim podziemnym parkingu. Dziękujemy gospodarzowi Luciano za gościnność i porady dotyczące najciekawszych miejsc do zwiedzenia.

The view!! Fabulous location near the top of the sassi so a relatively easy walk from the parking garage. We had a lot of luggage and it didn’t stress us, but maybe not for everyone. Balcony looks out on to the entire sassi. The place, well cave house, had everything one could need with lots of extras provided like water and juice, breakfast items and coffee. Lovely toiletries, great shower. Felt like a home from home because decorated with care. Wonderful.
