"OK, but I would not stay here again."

The location was great. Easy to walk everywhere and close to public transit when needed.

The place was OK but the upstairs bedrooms had a musty smell and messed with my breathing and allergies. It was hard to get a good night's rest. The best thing about it was the table area we could gather around and plan out our next day. I would stay somewhere else next time.

"A lovely stay at a pleasant and convenient place."

Very comfortable, with a relaxed style. Everything we needed was there. The location was excellent. The area was generally very quiet, both day and night.

We could have done with some brighter lighting upstairs.

"Excellent old Japanese house in Gion, Kyoto!"

A very spacious 100 year old Japanese house in Gion! Excellent for a group or family! Super clean, easy to access and very close to the bus station and the old streets of Kyoto. Check in and check out was super friendly and easy, and it included a lot of orientation advices and tips for Kyoto from the host. Would definitely stay here again!

A great place - an old Japanese house - very cozy and comfortable. It’s well equipped with everything needed and also very clean It’s very centrally located, but yet in a quiet street. Also the hosts were amazing
