"A little slice of heaven"

This is a really beautiful, simple family-hosted stay. I rated it 10 for the overall experience. Accommodation is in a traditional house overlooking a river, valley and mountains. Simplicity and cleanliness and a wonderful hosting family cooking delicious local food. An experience that will linger long after the event. Well worth making the effort to get out to Shikoku and would make quite a good base for exploring if you had a few days.

I guess this won't be for those who want urban comforts. This is very much rustic simplicity and charm. We loved it.

"Beautiful spot for Japanese traditional slow living lifestyle"

The traditional Japanese farmhouse is beautiful and has been wonderfully renovated by Daisuke. The view is gorgeous and the location excellent. The food was a real highlight, expertly prepared from fresh ingredients by Yumiko.

Absolutely amazing experience- it made our entire Japan trip! The views were beautiful, and the food was some of the best we’ve ever experienced. A true hidden gem, and we will definitely come back in the future. Daisuke-san and Yumiko-san are such lovely and friendly people- we miss them already!

"Lovely home stay"

The hosts are very nice, friendly, and warm welcome. Before we arrived the house, the hosts pay attention to our stay. He tried to communicate with us all time. Another things we love are food (both dinner and breakfast). It is authentic Japaness food.

We absolutely loved our time at Oyamanoyado Michitsuji. Daisuke and Yumiko were the most wonderful hosts and we loved getting to know them. Yumiko’s cooking is phenomenal! The house is lovely and Daisuke has refurbished it so thoughtfully. The surroundings are beautiful, such a peaceful and happy place. Love love loved it and hope to return!
