The property did not advise that the house was a shared rental which was really disappointing when he arrived. The other couple based on the ground floor snored and we heard everything not ideal. The price was way too expensive for not a full house. We stayed at a house in lake Tauranga and was much cheaper. The house didn’t have any dishwashing powder yet I contacted them and none was provided. They left us with two nearly empty dishwashing liquid for the dishes so I had to go and purchase my own tea towels, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, paper towels and fly spray. When I have stayed at previous places they have all this already set up. We had one tea towel for the entire three nights we asked and none were provided. For a family we were provided with three towels in the bathroom for three days and only one spare toilet paper. Contacted them again and none were provided. The house had ants and cockroaches in the kitchen, living room and the worst was the bedrooms, it was a very unpleasant experience. I would not rate this place to anyone. I would appreciate getting my money back from this very unpleasant experience..

Issues with the water pressure, suggest that the owners get a new shower head as even once the owners came to review the water problem the shower was just a trickle.

A corner of the house is rented out to other people! Literally a bedroom door between you with no entry and they enter in through the decking door. So we felt so uncomfortable! This was not stipulated anywhere. Dirty, creaky old house, no bin bags to put rubbish in. We didn’t feel very welcome at all. It really does feel like they just want to make money - not to make it an enjoyable experience like a bach should be. Check in and out times changed twice. Departure information given before we even settled in. 2 coffee pods for two nights for three adults. Bunk beds are extremely unsafe and positioned right by a fragile glass window with no safety barrier Roach in bathroom, closet, laundry and we had one crawl out of the coaster set!

Immaculately clean, all the basics provided for. Beds were very comfortable, (with one exception). Communication with the host was very fast. Location is excellent, and the view lovely. Very short walk down to the lake if you fancy a stroll. 👍

The top bunk bed mattress was uncomfortable and my daughter's first night was rough. We've let the host know, and found our own fix. The bunk bed only had one rail, so make sure it's pushed up hard up against the wall if you're worried about little ones rolling off the top. The second room would benefit from black out curtains. Young kids going to bed at 8 or so...it was still very bright. As we've since discovered in other reviews, we were not the only people on-site, as there is another room shut off from the house round the back. They were considerate, but you knew they were there (and we're guessing vice versa). Water pressure was an issue, until we discovered that the water timer was sometimes watering the whole property at the same time! Problem solved.

October 2024 – We greatly enjoyed our stay! The accommodation was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, functional, cozy, and very comfortable, with a stunning view. House was lovely, very roomy very comfortable.

Kitchen-good size but missing a few utensils like tongs and a few more utensils. Only I rubbish bag provided which was a pain for 3 days, a small bin and 5 people. No handsoap in bathroom dispenser.

Location

As you will read, the description says the 'Whole place is yours' however not true. We were informed with our arrival instructions that there was a self contained unit. This flat occupied half the ground floor. There was only a locked ground floor internal door that separated us to the flats bathroom. Therefore, you could literally hear everything that you would use the bathroom for! The description says there was a tumble dryer there was not Also the washing machine did not work. The stay was only made tolerable as the flat occupants left 2 days into our stay.
