Lakefront Fantail Cottage Lake Hawea, Wanaka

Location

When I booked it said 2 bedrooms as I have 2 young kids which I did put in when I was booking,but didn’t say 1 bedroom was outside not attached to house. I didn’t find out till later and was unable to cancel this. Also it had broken bed in sleep out which was fixed but sawdust was still all over carpet and sheets towels etc still on clothes horse in lounge. We didn’t use sleepout but had to get mattress out to take to lounge for kids to sleep on

The view, the well organised house, the ability to cook meals, good cooking knives. Then back yard..the Rowan tree and starlings for entertainment

My side ( left) of the bed had a hollow on the edge of mattress..but I slept like a baby.

Lovely location.

Not suitable for 2 couples, especially the “extra room” sleeping arrangements which we were unable to access.

Everything was great. Cosy and Everything was there we needed.

Enjoyed everything.

No wi fi. A bit too much of the owners “stuff” in the house.

For a couple this property is okay. For 2 older couples, to find the sofa bed in same bedroom was not ideal. The sleep out did say loft bed but never imagined the very steep stairs up to it. Note no photos of it to see when booking. Dirty sheets left on bed from before us as said cleaner does not make bed up. We didn’t use it.

As above. The noisey floorboards need fixing.

Clean and comfortable with views to the lake.

The bed was a little too soft

It was nice. Quiet with nice views.

When booking it didn’t mention the second room was a small outside.
