Creole Victorian for groups large and small

Joey is amazing -- one of the best hosts we've ever encountered. He provided wonderful sundries for breakfast/brunch (and a little more for snacks and drinks) and genuinely wanted us to have a great stay. Hi place has some wear and tear but it's sooooo New Orleans and all the fun and funky decor he has everywhere just adds to the Creole flavor of the place.

Could use a deeper cleaning -- and a few less beds. I think it slept 10+ with only one bathroom. Still, it was a super cool New Orleans experience and we would stay again!

The location of the place is very good, just a boat ride over the Mississippi from the French Quarter. The house itself is also lovely, and so is the backyard and the porch. The house comes with everything needed for a few-day stay, with some breakfast options that is a lovely add-on.

When booking, I got a confirmation email with instructions on where to find the key. On my arrival, I found it and entered to find the place in a mess - clearly someone had left and the place was not cleaned, with trash here and there, unmade beds, and dirty floors. I called the owner, and he seemed surprised that I was there, as supposedly he didn't know I was coming. He offered that, as he was out of town, he would just refund me for the two nights, and I could still stay there, as it was quite hard to find a new place right away. I agreed with the deal, and that's when the problems started. He claimed to make the refund right away, but wouldn't answer my messages on Booking. I tried to contact him for weeks, and finally, he did make some kind of a claim to Booking.com that he would refund, but Booking told me that they cannot refund me for the trip as the owner didn't make the claim in writing. After that, it's been impossible to reach him, although I've been sending many messages. If I'd known that this would be the case, I would have just left the place and issued a complaint. Very very upset with the situation, especially as otherwise it's a nice place in a lovely city.

We loved the location in a nIce quiet residential area but only five minutes ferry ride to all the action. The house was very interesting and comfortable. The owner who lived next door was very helpful and generous with the provisions. There were some great places to eat and a local pub all within a few minutes walk.

Joey and Cleo are wonderful hosts! And we can't forget the ducks! The home was fully stocked with anything you may need. Our stay was so cozy which is very important with our kids (we have 6). The home is full of history. Great location. We will definitely be back. By far Joey has been the best host we've had the pleasure of having!

Very typical place, the neighborhood is very nice, The “staff” is very reactive and nice. The house is kept old school but very nice if you want to experience the Cajun/Nola experience. I recommend

We absolutely love everything about this property! The house is beautiful the host was amazing and the location is excellent! I really wish I could have given Cleo another hug before I left!
