An unusual place in a medieval city. The house is large, wonderful and functional, very quiet and clean. The host - Rafael - is extremely nice and helpful. An ideal place for trips to the beaches and evenings in nice restaurants.

Location was perfect, located inside city walls and a 2 minute walk to the castle, the wall, and all the main town restaurants and shops. Rafael, our host was fabulous and provided all kinds of breakfast foods such as fresh eggs, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal, cheese, and coffee.

Rafael's home was perfect for the 4 of us in every way, location, spacious, historical, and spotless. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Perfectly appointed, delightful little house with everything you could possibly need. So lovely to have a base in Obidos for a couple of nights to be able to explore the town before and after the tourist coaches fill the streets with tour groups. The multi-terrace garden is a gorgeous oasis with trickling fountain to escape to when the crowds become too much. Rafael, the owner, gave us a very warm welcome and was incredibly helpful and kind before, during and after our stay. I’d recommend his house in Obidos to anyone visiting the area.

We loved this perfect house! Everything was comfortable and clean and Rafeal was the kindest host. He stocked the kitchen with breakfast and made us right at home. The back decks are amazing.

The setting and property were wonderful. The accommodation met all our needs and more. Rafael, the host was friendly, and made us feel very welcome. He not only took time to find us when we were lost in Obidos, but provided some basics for breakfast so we could relax after a long time travelling. Having the opportunity to stay in such a historic home and town left us with beautiful memories.

Beautiful and large historic home within the city walls of Obidos. Tastefully decorated with all the amenities that one may need. Rafael is an amazing host. He was easily reachable upon arrival and helped us park next to the house and then enthusiastically showed us the house and gave us information about what to do and see around Obidos. He stocked the kitchen with fresh fruit for is and provided bread, eggs, milk, cheese, cereals, various teas and some vegetables along with the usual condiments like oil, salt and pepper etc. He also provided another welcome gift of local delicacies.

I wish I had stayed longer to enjoy his house more as because of my busy schedule to see other places around Obidos, I missed out on sitting in the large garden patio at the back which had a swing chair as well as some lounge costs m chairs and a large outdoor dining table as well.
