Pátio da Muralha

Location and size of property was great. We loved the outdoor rooms. Easy to get on to the old town wall from the back gate or walk up towards the castle. The owner Rafael was so kind and generous, told us the story of the house and gave us some food supplies so we would have something to eat on Christmas Day - this was such a thoughtful gesture that our family was so thankful for.

Rafael was incredibly kind and full of interesting and helpful information about his home, Obidos and surroundings. Light breakfast was supplied which was great to start the day with. He secured football tickets which we could not have done without his help. Restaurant recommendations were spot on, our favourite was Jamon Jamon just outside the walls - outstanding food. We managed to find a park also outside the walls near the entrance and it was only a few minutes walk away. We had 4 adults and it was a great space with two bathrooms and bedrooms on different levels which was excellent for privacy. Huge courtyard to enjoy if you have time. We had two nights to explore Obidos and surrounding areas ( Nazare and hiking in Lousa) but could have done with at least another night. It was such a charming property and town and perfect base for exploring Obidos region.

This is a wonderful house inside the wall in Obidos. Lots of family history and a great host! Staying here gives you the opportunity to explore the town before and after the tour crowds are gone. The back patio is a place where you want to sit and enjoy.

Everything was great!

A gem of a find, lovely old house in historic town. Rafael is a super host, great communication, very helpful and clearly proud of his house. Obidos is lovely, we used it as a base to visit the area including the Buddha gardens, Nazare and Berlenga Islands. Nice terrace with views of the walls while having a wine or coffee. It was great to come out of the front door and visitors are taking photos of the house, Thanks Rafael.

The house is just perfect, big, clean, with a lovely garden, comfortable rooms and kitchen. It's located inside the walls, a nice walk to everything and the medieval market was a plus. Rafael is a very nice and helpful person, he provided with all the informations we needed. I recommend this house to visit Obidos and around. Thank you very much. Luca

Large apartment with an amazing back yard, very comfortable in this medieval town. Rafael is an amazing host, goes above and beyond with this property that has been in his family for generations. We were fortunate to be here during the medieval festival, found this apartment perfect for our family exploring Obidos for a couple days.
