The Buckingham

Everything was great--lovely property and nice touches with the coffee, orange juice, creamer, etc. provided. The beds were all very comfortable and everything was decorated beautifully.

Everything was great except there was only one key, this key was required to open the door from the inside and outside, and it was very difficult to use for everyone in our party. This made it difficult when we wanted to do different things but we needed to get back into the property. I also feel like this is a bit of a safety hazard as there did not appear to be a key for the back garden door and the garden wall is too high to climb. With a key that was difficult to use being required to open the front door and no key to the back garden door, had there been a fire or something, we would have had to climb out the front window. I'm not sure if historical restrictions prevent the door lock from being changed, but this is the one thing I would have liked to see different. We did also run out of toilet paper and the closets Sainsbury's did as well so that was a bit of an annoyance.

Excellent location and good facilities within the property itself.

The ‘welcome pack’ had a long list of vaguely threatening don’ts on the first page. This could have appeared if it had to at the end. The check out email had 8 points of instructions, again, not a nice feeling to it. Additionally, I have never stayed in a property where you have to ask permission to change the heating etc- the whole feel was that we were intruders who had to be told how to behave in a civilised fashion. I have never had this feel from any of the very many properties I have stayed in. I did not feel like a welcome guest.

Manual shower handset not working properly TV in main bedroom poor wifi connection so not working.

The home was immaculate, modern and stylish. Perfectly situated and was kept to a really high standard.

We were unable to find the iron in the property so unsure if another guest had moved it to a different place to what it said in the book. But it didn’t cause too much of an issue.

Great location. Very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds.

Location was great, quiet but only 10 mins to most areas in center. Lovely modern kitchen, family bathroom and dining room, had everything we needed. Check in was easy, instructions were clear, clear communication

No chair in bedroom, but didn't really bother us Very nice main bathroom but slippery when wet, no hook near shower, just keep towel close by!
