Flaxman Avenue - Lovely 4 bed home, 5 mins drive to York City Centre, Free superfast Wi-fi, Free on-street parking

The property was down a quiet residential street overlooking a lovely park. Four good sized bedrooms , with a downstairs bathroom and upstairs toilet. Heating was easy to control and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Property was nicely furnished. Easy walking distance to the Barbican arena.

The front garden was very unloved and on arrival we thought we had come to the wrong address. No plug for the bath. The single bed was squeaky. Needs a bit of TLC as looking tired in areas.

I love how cozy the house was. Very modern english.

Wifi was not working - as I was travelling for work no wifi was a major issue. I messaged the hosts and they did not reply. I also messaged to get a VAT receipt / invoice, which I still have no received.

The rooms are a decent size, and the shower is nice and hot

The garden is overgrown both at the front and the back, there is a general like of Loving Care about the property which is evidence by the over grown garden, the hedge that you need to battle to gain access to the front door, and the unwashed windows As for the TV its completely useless, and may as well be thrown in a bin! The host cops a blank 1 to the problems associated to the TV and never even apologised for useless it is. The soft furnishing are no where near adequate for 8 potential guests, as there is only soft seating for at best 4 people

So close to the centre. Very good facilities and lovely and clean. I would definitely recommend it for families.

Walls and ceilings needed dusting to remove numerous cobwebs and front garden needs cutting back

Nothing really, cleanliness could have been improved
