Polgwedhen Lodge

A picturesque lodge next to large gardens and a lake with an opportunity to use a rowing boat. Everything you needed was provided including cream tea on arrival. Our hosts were so helpful and had thought of everything. We would return if we visited Cornwall again

The property is in an ideal location to escape and relax in the tranquil setting but close enough to get to shops.

To make it even better the inclusion of a hot tub would be amazing.

Lovely quiet private wood cabin with a lovely pond and lots of wildlife.

There wasn't anything we didn't like

Everything!! Beautiful lodge, very nice and secluded but amazing location, right in the heart of Cornwall. Within easy driving distance to pretty much everywhere. So cosy, the 4 poster bed is so comfortable and just what you need after a busy day exploring Cornwall The Lake by the lodge is wonderful with a family of Canadian geese and other wildlife nearby. My partner in particular loved the rowing boat :) The hosts are so friendly and accommodating, great knowledge of the local area, just the best!

Nothing not to like!

Peaceful location by the lake. Plenty of space for our dog to run around. Nice cream tea on arrival with table laid up ready for us.

This is brilliant. The lodge overlooks a picturesque lake, complete with resident nesting ducks. There is a kitchen / dining / sitting area, along with a generous-sized bedroom (four poster bed) and separate bathroom. Upon our arrival we found scones, jam and cream waiting for us and a lovely welcoming note. We met our hosts the next morning, and we loved hearing about how they had built the lodge themselves. Definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in.

There was nothing not to like. It delivered more than it promised.
