Polgwedhen Lodge

The cabin was situated on a private lake which offered peace and serenity, the setting was so beautiful we found it difficult to leave the cabin to explore the surrounding area. We have two dogs and they were free to roam to their hearts content. A wonderful holiday was enjoyed by us all.

Location was perfect, a nice getaway which it was I very much needed to be alone.

The road, layby going down from the main road is too much gravel with the bike which is a safety hazard but more preference really than the actual lodge.

Secluded quiet. Even saw a deer! Comfortable sofa and bed. If you want a really isolated relaxing space come here for sure. Vanda the owner is lovely

Minor issue but the shower was a bit slow to drain

It was ideal for us to have time away. It was warm and comfortable and had all we needed. The grounds outside were perfect for our dogs and it was remote enough for us to have privacy. The cream tea on arrival was a real treat.

We were happy with everything.

Everything especially sitting outside for breakfast enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Lovely location, right near the lake, so pretty! Cream tea that was left for us, as well as tea, coffee milk and sugar.

The fee for our dog, £10 a night was not declared until we had paid for the booking.

It was lovely and comfortable. Great location with easy access to all points of Cornwall. The owner Vanda was welcoming and friendly. There was a lovely cream tea waiting for me on arrival. All information about the property was in a welcome book. It was clean and cosy and a lovely view of the large pond. Great for solo travellers and couples. There was a veranda to sit on in the evenings though I didn’t use it as the weather was not great being March it was rather wet. The lodge is located down a small road and not too far from the main house should you need anything. It was quiet and relaxing. Directions to property were given by the owner and these were clear and precise.

The only slight problem was the internet was slow, this was clearly pointed out by the owner in the welcome book and is not their fault at all. You could still get everything you need on the internet just slower than some will be used to.

The tranquility of Polgwedhen Lodge. Its setting and facilities were exactly what we expected.
