Alpine Chalets Hakuba

Great location, with a ski bus out the front. We had friends staying further up in Echoland so walked up to their accommodation every morning and that was an easy 10min walk, fairly flat so not bad lugging the snowboards around. The 2 bedroom unit was comfortable and warm, we felt very cosy. It isn't a high end accommodation, photos were faily reflective of true look but we thought it was great value for money. Originally we were meant to have four people staying, but it ended up just being 2 so there was more than enough space for us. To get to one bedroom, you have to walk through another so that's a consideration for a 4 person stay. We liked having a living room area and kitchen, which we would have missed if we had stayed in a hotel. All in all it was a great trip and we would stay again.

As others have commented there is not much sound proofing between the adjoining units. We didn't mind as we didn't have noisy neighbours but that could be a problem. When the neighbours were going up and down their stairs it almost sounded like someone was going up and down ours.

I'm not sure but I think we got upgraded from the chalet that we originally booked. The one we were given was spacious and had everything we could have needed. Short walk to restaurants and a convenience store with undercover parking.

Clean and comfortable. Had all the amenities we needed including kitchenette and washing machine. A free shuttle for Goryu/Hakuba 47 and Happo/Iwatake stops right out the front. 10ish minute walk into Echoland.
