Rymmon Retreat

Everything. The lodge is very clean and llovely decorated ,a bit isolated but we enjoyed;. plenty leaflets left there for us to get informations for exploring the surroundings. Nice to have there a pair of binoculars ..very handy, many thanks. .Lovely owners, certainly we will go back when we will have the chance.

All was great. A hot tub will be a nice addition and a coffee machine( there is a French pressed) in the kitchen would have been much appreciated.

Loved the remote location and the facilities.

There wasn't anything we didn't like

Location. Availability for only 4 days. Cleanliness. Just the right size for two adults.

Multiple appliances are broken. Middle eye of oven did not work. The broiler oven shut off after 5 minutes while cooking, leaving meat raw. It would not turn back on. Dryer did not work despite a review 30 days earlier, also mentioning. The vent above oven worked randomly. While cooking the food left by broiler oven, we had to open all doors as smoke detector went off. Electric Fireplace smelled of burning plastic and shut off. The heat seemed to be regulated elsewhere as the thermostat did not seem to work. The temperature outside was 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit and heat seemed to work from about 12am-4am with low heat around 7-8am. The place was very cold. The shower in master bath was clogged so drainage before overflow gave about 3 minutes. Not enough to wash your hair before the pan was full. Shower in second bath leaked out due to run off on tub. House noted mentioned to close curtain to avoid leakage. It was not due to curtain but set up. This place would have been perfect except for serious upkeep. Reviews from a few years ago seem great. I hope they can rally with repairs as this was a lovely place.

Although secluded it had everything we needed. Being so secluded the wifi was a bit of a hot or miss, but that is not a bad thing as the views made up for it and we were so tired from being out expiring the area all day that we were all asleep very quickly.

The only thing for me was the mattress. I like a hard mattress and this was very soft. However that’s a personal thing and I’m sure of people like soft beds then this would be perfect for them

A wonderful, peaceful place to stay, super clean with so much love in detail. Felt like a Home. The Host Sarah is the sweetest.

Well equipped, especially loved the gas fire place. The master bedroom was very spacious.

Disappointed we weren't told in advance that the washing machine was broken. The second bedroom is not suitable for adults, the beds are only 70cm wide and 20cm apart. There was no room to rollover in bed and you had to side step to get into bed.
