The Old Forge - an "Heritage' house

The location and price are right.

C'est une petite maison très agréable et confortable. Comme chez soi. La décoration est très originale comme autrefois.

The fact that a heritage building has been kept in its original state.

The shower.

My length of stay. Too short.

It’s old and beautiful on the outside.

Inside needs some tlc. The wall paper in most rooms is peeling off the walls

Made own breakfast. Property location excellent

Great place for a group.

The record collection and stereo/turntable/cd player and the variety of games.

Really needs better winter insulation as it’s very difficult to get and keep warm. The rooms with the fires are ok but the rest of house is very cold. Needs thermal curtains. Suspect it has little or no ceiling insulation. The shower floor is soggy and suspect rotten. I know it’s a rustic old house (which is nice) but It needs a lot of general maintenance. More of a personal holiday home than the standard the rental accommodation needs to be at in this price range.

It was a good size house, comfortable, it had everything we needed plus more, lots of fire wood, good size dry room, easy access, easy check in and check out, great location, good record and DVD collection. It was also good to have electric blankets and TVs in the bedrooms.
