"Dissapointing considering the cost for a 4 day stay."

6.0

Location was excellent and house was clean.

House seemed tired. Walls were very marked. Many tiles were cracked. Work surface in kitchen very poor condition. Mattress in main bedroom was very uncomfortable as you Could feel the springs. The couch was not comfortable either as the support was sunken, felt like latts were broken or missing. No shelving in bathrooms for personal items.

"Fantastic house in a quiet, peaceful location - near to Kenmare amenities and onto the Ring of Kerry"

9.0

Such a peaceful location, a great sized house for five adults and three children and the estate was safe for the children to play football on the road and to go to the small stream and walk down to the water.

"Family stay in Dunkerron Woods"

4.0

Location was good. 3km to the centre of Kenmare town. It's on a bad road so cannot walk but that wasn't a problem for us. The house itself is private and in a lovely area.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the up keep of the house. The kitchen presses were falling apart. The kitchen was full of grease from a faulty extraction fan. There was mould on the kitchen ceiling above the table from an old leak. The bathrooms need an upgrade. No toilet lid on main toilet upstairs. Drain in downstairs shower was blocked and filling shower base. We moved a sofa to retrieve a ball and it was very dirty so it seems they only clean around the furniture. Overall disappointing maintenance on what should be a lovely holiday property for the price you pay.

"Very relaxing stay in a lovely part of the country."

Quite location. Near the town and on the main road.

Shower tray did not drain immediately so may have a block in the system.

"Terrible house. Needs seriously upgraded"

Decent wifi considering the location

We stayed at No3 Dunkerron Woods, and only managed to find it after driving aimlessly around the grounds for 10 minutes looking for it. Turned out the signage was completely covered by overgrown hedges. We arrived on Sat 8 July, peak holiday time, and found that the gardens (and all of the surrounding neighbour’s gardens) were no better maintained than the so-called signage. Grass hasn’t been cut for weeks and as a result was unusable for the kids. It remained uncut for the week that we were there. Very disappointing considering the price point of this holiday rental. Once inside the house wasn’t much better. Living room was small and couldn’t accommodate 8 guests as it was meant to. The tv unit was badly placed in a walk-through spot from the dining area, and for two families with children, we were again hugely disappointed to find only RTE channels, with no digital channels, no BBC. Not even an old DVD player and some DVDs…no chance of Netflix. Onto the kitchen, you couldn’t have swung a cat in it - one person kitchen. Completely lacked the basic holiday kitchen essentials - no chopping boards, no colander or sieve, not even a chopping knife. Literally knifes and forks and one bread knife. Don’t get me started on the glasses- wine glasses so small you got about 20 glasses from a bottle and the “tumbler” weren’t much better, might have looked big in a five year olds hand! Kitchen units were badly in need of a revamp- very badly peeling (3 of them) and dirty all round. Overall, lots of empty drawers and units, and what was there was completely inadequate. The rest of the house - toilets didn’t work properly, shower heads that leaked, leak stains on the ceiling above the dining table, a table that couldn’t accommodate 8 guests. Broken bedroom cupboards and drawers, holes in walls…I could go on. Oh, and last but not least, the washing line (whirly bird version) was unusable due to the overgrown headging that it appeared to be drying, as opposed to clothes. O
