Super little cottage likely a former '2 up, 2 down'. Fully stocked kitchen if needed: also tea, coffee (real coffee!). We were just there overnight for a concert at the castle next-door. I know the area/ town and it's a great location with access to places you might not normally go like The Lawn and West Common / old racecourse. Enclosed outdoor space with parking. Getting in was interesting, but the hosts send very detailed instructions and clarify what kind of small car will get through the arch. Some milk had been left, and biscuits and doughnuts - very welcoming. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, clean and homely. Will definitely keep it in mind if I need to stay in Lincoln again.

We weren't there any length of time to test everything, but nothing negative to note. There was no noise issue from the two pubs or the road.

The cottage is situated right next to the Castle walls, and a small alley way separates it from a good pub, which itself is adjacent to an excellent Indian Restaurant. The parking is tight, but manageable for a medium size car with a bit of manouvering. The cottage itself is very well equipped and comfortable. There are a couple of excellent restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, for a special meal we definetely recommend The Old Bakery. A 5 minute walk takes you to the main Castle entrance (there is a 2nd entrance next to the property as well) and another couple of minutes to the Cathedral. This is the older, and more pleasing part of town, but it is very steep and hilly in places. Overall we found this property to be an excellent base for our 3 day break visiting our son. We were even supplied with muffins on our arrival which was most welcome! With thanks to both Leah and Kevin.

The location is great and the property comfortable. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Almost nothing. Right on the street and next to a pub so better suited to those who like some buzz in the evening though.

Great location near to the castle and cathedral. Clean and cosy, with everything you need to eat in or just chill out in the evening. The Bailgate area is close by for independent shops and some nice pubs. For the bigger shops the main town centre is a walk down a steep hill. You need to be fit to walk back up or you can use the walk and ride bus. We used the bus when it was raining.

Some of the furniture was a bit dated but everything worked and nothing was missing.

The property was close to the castle and the cathedral. So on the top of the hill if you were not good at walking. The kitchen was well appointed and the downstairs living. The double was beautiful. We were well looked after by the host. As they mentioned the parking was really only for a mini size car. Getting us some alternative parking but, I thought I could park with lots of juggling. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Parking was tight for my size car, you needed to be a good driver. There is a 24 hour car park opposite. We felt there should be a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on and the toilet roll holder restricted the toilet area. I felt the booking.com sight did not mention about the parking restrictions. (As I mentioned I did manage. )

Great location right behind the Castle. Well equipped, charming cottage right next to two very good pubs. Excellent communication from the owners too. Recommended

Lincoln is quite hilly, so it was down hills into town, and obviously back up to property, but worth it as the location was in the main historical part of lincoln and directly behind the castle. Lovely welcome cakes and beverages provided by the hosts.

The cottage is spacious, well equipped, cosy, immaculate and super clean. The location is perfect - just a few minutes walk to the cathedral quarter. Plenty of pubs, shops and eateries nearby - all within walking distance. Comfy mattress and no street noise. Parking and private patio a huge bonus. Great communication from hosts with flexible check-in. Would definitely recommend.
