Quinta da Galeira

La terraza con las vistas, absolutamente impresionantes; tal cual sale en las fotos. No le faltaba de nada. Incluso las cosas que parecen menos importantes, pero que uno acaba echando en falta; café y una cafetera, copas de vino, un ajedrez, sal.....Tenía absolutamente todo lo necesario. La dulzura y amabilidad en el trato por parte de los dueños. Las plantas y árboles que pertenecián a la casa; viñas, naranjos, una higuera, tomateras, pimientos... La sala de juegos; expecialmente el billar.

La piscina no es construida; es una piscina portatil. No era muy grande ni parecía muy limpia. La escalerilla no daba mucha seguridad. Aunque me bañé igual, jeje.

Great location, fantastic view. Very friendly hosts. Really appreciated the morning deliveries (bread, melon, etc), made our stay really special.

Great location, amazing views to the Douro Valley. The owners were absolutely fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Fresh bread and Pastel de natas every morning - nothing was too much for them. Would definitely come back and highly recommend. .

Was a bit disappointed that there was no washing machine.

Exceptional View and terrace. good location, walking distance to village center (very steep return), bed quality is good, house remained fresh despite high temp outside

Very bad acoustic insulation-we could hear the shower of neighbours, people talking outside, and of course the village annual Festas which had very loud music until 2:30am…old sliding windows do not block noise even sleeping with earplugs…very little equipment in kitchen (pots, cutlery…), old swimming pool, pump equipment is noisy. Tough Parking with gravel and pits on a steep hill, no shade.

The views were phenomenal! We had home #1 on the lower level which was a large 1 BR home with 3 small patio areas. It was nice to have a pool (above ground) and loungers with umbrellas especially during the summer heat. We had a problem finding the home due to our poor navigation but Rodrigo was available To help us find our way.

A larger refrigerator would have been nice.

Brilliant location, fantastic views, very well maintained.

What a beautiful view from this spacious property. Unit 3 is massive with 3 rooms, 3 bathrooms, and gigantic patio that sort of feels like your own. There is a pool, a game room, and while we didn’t meet the owners very directly they left some tasty bread and pastel de nata for us on our first morning. Check in was super easy. The beds are comfortable. It’s close to everything. The kitchen has everything you need. Having breakfast while looking at the pre-boat tour quietude of the Douro river is worth the price.

Not all the sliding doors could be locked. Has to closed the outer doors to secure the place. I recommend fixing these latches.
