Host & Stay - Spring Cottage

We had a fantastic break at spring cottage. The house was lovely and very well equipped, parking space was a bonus! The only minor issue we found was the curtains in the bedroom were pretty grim around the bottom. Very suspect yellow stains, im guessing from dogs. They could do with a good wash. Other than that the house was spotless. One thing that would have been nice to know before arriving (though no fault of the host) is that the houses either side are both having extensive renovations. One side were working well into the night (11pm) and we were woken up very early by roofers on the other side banging away right outside the bedroom window before 8am. Overall we had a lovely stay and would happily come back and reccomend to friends!!

The curtains in the bedroom really do need a good clean, looks to be dog urine all over the bottom of them.

A truly lovely little cottage for a central stay in Whitby, with of road parking and a secured garden, a big plus if you have dogs,fully equipped clean kitchen, bathroom has a shower and bath, great if you have a preference and very comfortable beds, all in a tasteful decorated cottage. Would definitely return.

The location of the property is great situated close to bagdale Hall. Also the parking space behind the property is a bonus for whitby. ( you arent guaranteed a space at the front of the property so if theres more than one car that would be an issue) The cottage was really well equipped with everything we needed. Bed was really comfy. WiFi was great. Coffee machine added bonus. Great shower. Good size bedrooms. Very clean. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again if the price was right.

Customer service was poor. We had an issue with the key safe when we arrived ( thought i was using the correct pin but needed to ring host and stay and fill a form out first) the instructions for check in need to be clearer as I've never had to do that before and I've stayed in whitby many times before even at another host and stay property. So wasnt the best start to our stay .. freezing cold in the pouring rain not able to get into the property. The hosts number doesn't work so I had to ring host and stay which was time consuming. Few cobwebs here and there but was clean. Bath was tiny length ways so didnt get to have a nice soak which i was looking forward to. Really could do with some sort of curtain or voil on the patio doors to the garden as it does feel quite creepy on a evening.
