Host & Stay - Spring Cottage

Everything! Location was great for accessing Whitby and walks etc. No need to move car. V comfy well appointed cottage with everything we might need.

Location was fantastic Parking facilities was perfect

Wasn’t as clean as it could have been The blurb said bathroom & bedrooms were both in first floor, not so & steep steps especially inside bathroom which wasn’t helpful considering 2 of party have got arthritic knees especially having to use toilet in night.

Great location, so near everything. Super clean and decor lovely, looks like recently renovated. Cottage had everything you would need for a comfortable stay including a Lo’r coffee machine that was a lovely surprise 😋. Garden was great for our dog, we visited in march and can imagine that it would be a great sun trap in summer months. There was allocated private parking which is unusual for a Whitby property and was a great bonus. Couldn’t have asked for more and was so pleased I booked and will definitely return and recommend.

No complaints whatsoever

The location is perfect. The cottage is modern with everything you need, it's nice that they provide tea,coffee and milk so you can have a drink when you arrive if you didn't bring your own.

Only thing i could say is maybe use the rear door rather than the front one as that is where you park, and if people park awkwardly at the front, it makes it tight to reverse down the street when unloading/packing.

Not a great experience, although we were booked to stay in spring cottage we ended up in a completely different property further away from the town. I recommend not checking in any later than 4pm as when we tried to check in at this time we realised that the key would not unlock the door as there was a problem. Trying to get hold of someone to resolve the issue was an uphill struggle. When you call the helpline they literally have no idea about the properties, I was told several times that they had no reports of a problem with the door however this didn't help us. I was even told that the property had two front doors so I should try the other door which didn't even exist. Only after asking for someone to physically come down to the property to confirm that the door wasnt opening did they actually send someone. To my surprise this person didnt have another set of keys so all they did was try the key we had which unsurprisingly didn't work. They then informed us that there was a key safe at the back of the property with a back door key in, this information was also fictional and we began to wonder if anybody had a clue. After a four hour drive to get to the property and then a further two hours stood outside waiting for some sort of resolution we were finally moved to another property further away and with no garden. This whole experience completely put a dampener on our stay and having contacted the property to request compensation I have been completly ignored. My advice, just dont book here theres plenty of other properties within the area.
