Location excellent.

Spiral staircase was a little tight and not very friendly if you've had a few drinks or you're on the larger/taller side or any mobility issues.

Location was good. Very quirky building. Close enough to town centre but nice to be a little out too

Worst communications I've ever had with a holiday booking. I messaged via Booking.com and got half an answer after a day. Sent a msg to host and also rang and left a voicemail with no response at all just to try and get directions and parking information. Post code and directions from the link on booking.com takes you to the other side of the harbour. Some of the decking is completely rotten I.e. when you stand on it your foot starts to go through

Very quirky, the balcony in the summer months was amazing, the kitchen fully equipped, the sofa was sooooo comfy, free view tv, so close to everything. Spotless

If you are a light sleeper there is a lot of activity early in the morning- the apartment is on a small pier and people were fishing at 3 / 4 am in the morning and you can hear them clearly. Take ear plugs as the apartment is worth it

Lovely place to stay sitting on the patio watching the world go by . Hopefully we will be booking again soon

Was a great stay

It’s quirky, location and view were excellent. I know some people had trouble with the TV, but it was fine. Loads of channels. I assume this is due to a recent upgrade. Hot water, toilet etc. was very good. Kitchen well fitted out, almost everything you needed was there. Some previous guests complained about the uneven kitchen floor and narrow spiral staircase, but it’s not a problem if you take it easy. The stairs wouldn’t be suitable for older frail people or those with some disabilities. Loads of shops and restaurants just a short walk away Trenchers seafood restaurant was the best we tried. Coda Nostra was okay, but noisy. Abbey Wharf restaurant was again noisy, but the food was okay. Except the chips, not great.

No parking, which we were aware of. We did ask twice about the nearest overnight parking, but we didn’t receive a reply 🙄 As the council run car parks can be a fair walk away, I took my bike. But I only used it once as we managed to get in the Church Street car park, which is only a few minutes walk away. Overnight parking fee was £11-90 for 12 hours. On arrival, we were a little confused on how to get to the property, but if driving, keep going up Church Street, where it says ‘Access Only’ and turn into Market Place and turn left at the bottom, it leads to the ‘Boathouse’. Lack of instructions on how to use the TV, DVD, washing machine etc. I noted that a number of other people had mentioned this in previous reviews and the owner obviously can’t be bothered to do this 🙄 which does encourage you to give the place a lesser score than it deserves. At weekends and bank holidays the Abbey Wharf restaurant is open to 1am and can be really noisy, as can the rowing clubs to the right, but it didn’t spoil our stay. Bed a little small for us, but it was comfortable. Oh, pull the toilet door across, otherwise the sun comes through the skylight in the bathroom. It woke me the first night, but no problem once I pulled the door shut. One thing, a sensor light over the front door would be handy for those arriving in the dark
