Close to the venue we attended a wedding. Nice setting, quirky layout.

▪︎if you intend to walk back from Coombe Lodge in the dark take a torch. Lights broken when we stayed there's steps half way along I nearly broke my neck on the narrow path. It's pitch black darkness. ▪︎bed if possibly most uncomfortable I've slept in soft lumpy mattress and rock hard pillows. Should be replaced ASAP. ▪︎only 1 set of towels on bed for 2 people so I gave up at this point and drove home in pj's. ▪︎empty soap bottles in bathroom ▪︎was badgered at midday on the day of check in with 3 stern messages regarding deposit. We were already at wedding with phones off why not ask before? ▪︎asked for early entry 30 mins to drop stuff in between ceremony and meal but told no, so in all we spent probably roughly 8 hrs there, enough packet milk there for 1 cup of tea. So in all I don't think £150 a night is value for money. Like others have said bathroom could do with updating too.

Great countryside location with walks from the door.

The bathroom was terrible, with black mould around the toilet unit and damp carpets that smelt awful. There were stains on the bathroom walls, and a broken shower door. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the furnishings were in a very poor state.
