Swales cottage

Fantastic location with parking! The facilities were just what we needed for a few night away as a base. No frills but this was fine for us and what we were using it for. It great value for money.

The shower wasn’t very powerful and the room did get very misty without an exracrion fan even with the window open. Also due to no extraction fan in the kitchen trying to cook bacon continually set the smoke alarms off but again this is minor and just something to note.

Fantastic, location, just a 5 minute walk from the centre. The free, onsite parking space was a real bonus. The cottage is spacious, clean and bright and the bed was very comfortable. The coffee machine and stay-warm kettle are a nice extra touch. It's situated in a quiet area so we weren't bothered by any noise at all, and it was great to bring our pooch at no extra cost. It's also a sun trap at the front if you wish to sit out.

The kitchen and bathroom would benefit from a little TLC as they look a little tired. The cottage itself isn't too easy to find but the owner also sent us a what3words reference on request which was really helpful. Other than that, the only thing missing was a baking/casserole dish to bake our nachos in :)

Great location near the town centre, with all the facilities you you would need in the cottage. The host was most helpful in our email chats.

Although everything functioned perfectly well, the cottage was a little 'tired'. The bedsheet did not fit properly which was a bugbear, particularly as it had previously been mentioned in the visitor's book.
