Swales cottage

The owner was extremely helpful when I asked for an additional key and in general communication. The location was brilliant, nice and quiet, big fridge, handy for the pavilion, and it's great to have a parking space. It was good value for money.

It would be useful to have a folder with info on how to operate the boiler as it was switched off so turning up the thermostat didn't work. My friend worked it out but I don't like to mess on with boiler controls! (It also needs reprogramming as it comes on very early and is rather noisy!)

There was parking.

The cottage was dirty and dated. The rooms shown on booking.com did not represent the rooms as they are. Several reviews complained about problems with the cottage and the Front door in May. Despite reassurances from the owner these were resolved the problems still exist and are still a problem The cottage is in need of a lot of tlc and updating. The carpets are dirty and stained and smell. Pets are welcomed here but the rooms smell of dogs. We have no pets. The double bedrooms consisted of 2 single beds pushed together in one room and set out as as twin beds in the second room. Not as advertised or the same as shown on the pictures of the cottage. The state of the cottage is not reflected in the charge. Not worth the money. Very poor accomodation for the price. We will not be returning.

Second time here love the cottage clean tidy everything you need for self catering. Comfortable beds .great location and free parking. Close to all the amenities and beach .ideal for families. Would stay again
