Wilderness Lodge

It feels very peaceful and private but is within reasonable distance of local facilities, shops etc. It was very clean and even on a particularly hot weekend you stay nice and cool because of the position of the property being built into the earth. It felt very nicely designed and is big enough for a couple or small family. The views are absolutely stunning and sitting on the deck is an absolute treat, there's a covered area so you're not right in the sun. Idyllic. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend to anyone, but would advise it may not be accessible if you are not able to walk with your luggage up a steep, grassed-over track.

The curtain rail around the bed nook was damaged and so only one curtain was working so as others have said when it's an early sunrise prepare to be woken up! The deck is also in need of repair ideally as a couple of times I nearly went for a little trip but fortunately managed to stop myself! I would still very highly rate this property but consider before booking if this would meet your needs.

Views are just magical! Animals everywhere but lots of privacy. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely welcome card on arrival. Nice size bathroom. Comfortable bed.

Was a little nervous on the decking as few loose ones and I’m assuming blankets in basket are for dogs not humans as smelt of dog which I found out when I went to use one

Location was perfect and the property had everything we needed

The view from the building was amazing

Floor boards especially the decking outside had failed and can be trip hazard

The interior was spot on but kitchen floor needs sorting as it is a trip hazard

The outdoor area needs some TLC. Roof very old and decking needs replacing

Our dogs could get out of the 'secure' garden so we had to block it off ourselves, the outside space has decking which needs replacing as a lot are damaged so we had to take extra care when outside

Location was very peaceful.

The cooker was in need of a very good clean.
