A Stones Throw to the Beach :-)

It was tried and very dated and smelt damp and could of been cleaner

Fabulous location - right by the train station and a 5 minute walk to the front. 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 with 2 single beds. A large bathroom with a bath and a fabulous shower. Enjoyed the biscuits you provided and the milk. We didn’t need the kitchen appliances but it was well stocked.

Lots of seating in the living room and dining room but for 3 older people the sofa could have been firmer with a higher back, but we managed. The dining chair cushions need to be plumper too. The key sometimes wouldn’t turn so needed to keep jiggling it about. The carpets could do with a clean and the curtains in front bedroom rehanging. Having said all that it met our needs.

The title is correct, this is a stone's throw from the beach and a short walk to the town centre. We had some problems which were not major. Communication from Jamie was excellent though. House is on 3 levels and provides lots of space for a family staying. We parked at the station car park across the road for the week. There is lots of other parking fairly close by, but this can be quite expensive depending on the length of your stay. There is an Asda at the garage across the road. This is useful for small bits although I'd recommend shopping at a supermarket (Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsburys) or town, as it's very expensive.

Location, Towels and good communication with owners.

Ants all over the kitchen counters every day despite cleaning it down religiously. Bins were a faff as no wheelie bin provided and unaware until we arrived. Mould in kitchen all round the sink and a horrible musty smell. Door handle in the bedroom broken. Dirty Cleaning sponges just left in the bathroom in easy reach of children. Bed Covers dirty and smelt used and unwashed. Crusty stain on the pillowcase. Remote Control not working and very frustrating. Drainage sewage smell was horrendous in the heat. Outside area dirty and smelly and not fit for use. Plaster and paint coming away from the walls and looks scruffy. Left over food from previous guests. (Out of date flour) Damp smell from drawers and under the stairs a complete mess and full of clutter. Dirty plates in cupboard with smears on them and needed to be cleaned. Generally lots of grime and dirt and dust in kitchen. Smelly shower. Uncomfortable sofa. Broken hairdryer. Broken taps that spurt water everywhere. The property needs lots of TLC and a really really good clean. I think the owners need to have a word with their cleaner as I don’t think they are doing a very good job at all. We were aware that the owners of this property could be reached easily but couldn’t have rectified everything that we weren’t happy with (these are obviously long standing problems such as the black mould) so we decided to make the best of the situation while we could. Unfortunately, in the end we decided to cut our holiday short and came home a few days early instead.

The location was great just a short walk to the beach front with all the shops and bars Greg's just cross the road which was great for our breakfast if you didn't want to cook, lot going on down the beach fun fair donkey rides wrestling great for family so yes the property is in a great location

the facility is located close to the beach, is well-kept and clean. Beds very comfortable. There are games for the little ones, so you can have a nice time

Great location Good value for money

Only one toilet/shower (we were 6 people) The duvets, pillow covers weren’t washed in a while. The unwashed smell was pretty obvious sadly.
