Tyan, Ambleside

Location was brilliant, within walking distance of shops, pubs & attractions. The living room sofa and chairs were lovely and comfortable with a country feel. Chocolate, tea, coffee and fresh milk were there for our arrival, very nice touch.

There was a big spare space in the living room which could have been filled with a small table and chairs for a cozy candle lite dinner. Also damp coming through the roof in the kitchen which was unsightly. There were only 4 mugs??? Plus other crockery, cutlery were bare minimal. No soap dispenser in the kitchen to was your hands and no towel. Handles fell off the kitchen cupboards and it all felt very tired and in dire need of a revamp. The small bedroom was very bland, not wardrobe, very basic and the plug socket was hanging off the wall. The bathroom had a brown stain on the toilet lid, a bit off putting. The whole place just needs freshening up, repairs done and a few home comforts, nice pictures on the walls etc.

Great central location although no parking outside the property itself. Bathroom & shower were great, lots of hot water, comfortable beds.

Kitchen wasn't as well kitted out as I would expect from a self catering holiday cottage, so cooking meals was a challenge.No foil, kitchen roll or oven gloves and limited glasses. freezer was also very small if you were staying more than a couple of nights.

Good location and pre information was really helpful.

Quite a bit of damp obvious in the rooms and caused a damp odour which spoilt the overall stay.

It was clean and comfortable and easy to contact the people who owned the property, it was in the perfect location

The location was excellent and check in was efficient

The property looked tired and the terrestrial TV didn't work due to storm damage but could be accessed through amazon/iplayer
