Tyan, Ambleside

Brilliant location in the heart of Ambleside. Parked the car when we arrived and didn't use it again until going home, loads to do from the cottage.

Could have been more comfortable and a bit more homely,.

Very central, clean, comfortable and had all we needed. We arrived early, the cleaner was was still there and she very kindly allowed us to leave our bags whilst we went to explore, very friendly lady. We will definitely return. Excellent property 👍

Only a very small thing, the toilet was a little high for the 'shorties' in the party......we could've done with a child's toilet step 😉🤣

Great Location right in the centre of Ambleside. Spacious cottage and so clean. Some great little touches like coffee, milk and a box of chocolates. Great communication from the owners 12 out of 10 for me.

Great location - the best thing about the property. Clean, had all the equipment needed including a huge dishwasher(although no washing machine), plenty of storage.

Not very cosy - no side lighting in living room, no fire, kitchen equipment very basic, single beds uncomfortable. Lack of parking was a problem.

It's was perfectly situated in the town. It had all the equipment required from cooking to cleaning.

When arrival you knew straight away it was dog friendly cottage by the smell of dogs. This could of been disguised by plug in air freshers as we don't have pets. There were still dog hairs present on carpet and furniture. The heating was good but all radiators had thermostatic valves and in the small bedroom there wasn't any present to turn the radiator down so on full heat. In the front bedroom this radiator didn't work. In the bathroom on the shower door it was loose because came out or the runners at the bottom.

We had a great stay. The cottage and location were perfect!

the house is very well located and cosy and spotlessly clean, there were some nice personal touches on arrival, too. it was good to have some basics (oil, salt and pepper, dishwasher tablets) provided especially for short stays. the downstairs is nice and spacious. the parking instructions were clear and we only spent £1.30 for our entire two night stay.

everything was great, though guests should note there is no bottle opener!
