Tyan, Ambleside

The location was excellent, right in the heart of Ambleside and walking distance to everything. The living quarters were spacious and comfortable with everything you would need.

The lights in the gallery across the road are on all night so it is very light in the master bedroom. If there were some curtains or a blackout blind that would be really helpful.

kitchen was very cold

It had a spacious living room and kitchen. Outdoor space for bikes etc. Fabulous location.

unfortunately the radiator in the main bedroom wasn’t working for one very cold night however I messaged the owners and they resolved the issue the next day with an electric heater. The kitchen was freezing even with the heating on. The toilet is very high so not suitable for children or smaller adults. second bedroom very small for a couple. The place seems a bit ‘cold’ and would benefit from some more soft furnishings to make it more inviting.

The property was in the heart of Ambleside and a quick walk to restaurants, shops and many beautiful walks

The property is tired and needs updating. The kitchen was poorly equipped with 3 sets of cutlery when there were four of us staying. There was an awful drainage/ sewage smell in the utility room spreading into the lounge area and kitchen if the doors were left open
