WILSONS COTTAGE - Cosy Cottage based in the Lake District

Very cosy cottage, lots of cooking utensils, pots and pans etc, very comfortable

Located in residential area with a busy road and no garden plus very steep and slippy staircase

Ben was very accommodating and got in touch as soon as we reached out. The cottage is lovely has everything you need, and the jacuzzi bath is a bonus especially after walking the fells

It was cozy and private, loved the bathroom and the kitchen :)

For my husband the bed was a little too short ;)

Very lovely cottage. Kitchen was really nice and bathroom was gorgeous.

Jacuzzi bath didn’t work. No toiletries when it stated there would be. Bed was broken, when we got into bed the two wooden slats underneath bent and broke (they were clearly temporary slats because of previous damage). We messaged the owner about the fire and they didn’t get back to us until the day we checked out. No early check in available. No washing machine tablets available.

We enjoyed the cosy feel this place gave and it was well equipped for a comfortable stay.

Would have appreciated extra blankets or throws.

Location of the place was good, only a 10-15min drive to nearest shops or restaurants. Welcome guide gave us good recommendations of things to do, hikes, good food. The place felt homey and clean and we had all the equipment we needed to cook some breakfast/meals when we've needed to.

The washing machine did not work properly, clothes came out soaking wet even after using the spin and drain setting, so the dryer wasn't able to properly dry our clothes. Would've been nice to have some hooks behind bedroom and bathroom doors to hang things on.

The property is extremely clean and homely, the downstairs is very comfortable and the kitchen is easy to navigate.

The toilet seemed to easily clog if more than 2 squares of toilet roll was flushed, not sure if this is common or an issue. Other than that everything was great!
