The Cottage Gillamoor

The location was brilliant. Very quiet and secluded. Lovely little garden (had there not been snow) we could have sat in. Pub two doors up which served excellent food and a 15 minute drive to Helmsley if we needed anything else. The cottage was well equipped and there was a lovely welcome box and flowers on arrival.

Might suggest shampoo/shower gel if we were being super super picky. But really nothing to criticise.

Quaint, cozy, quiet, every thing needed to make it a home from home.

Nothing apart from banging my head on the stairs :-)

Great location, so much to do and see. Very quirky cottage with everything you needed and more. Lovely farm shops, pubs etc

It was all fantastic but you could hear every sound no matter what level you were on- bit loud when kids went to the toilet In the night but we managed fine

Very quiet location. Comfy beds and garden to relax in.

Shower over bath was awkward to access as high to step into.

What an absolutely beautiful cottage, perfect as a base for a stay in the Moors. The surroundings are peaceful, and this really feels like an escape from reality. Easy to find, with a lovely pub less than a minutes walk away. The hosts were truly lovely, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them at all - we were all very thankful for their hospitality. Very comfortable beds, very clean, lovely welcome pack, very warm.

We did find mobility a little bit challenging - the stairs are very steep and there are very low ceilings, particularly on the staircase and in the bathroom. All four of our our party (all ages) had some problem with this. I don't think this would put us off returning, we would just need to be careful!

Lovely place! Super clean and cute cottage. There were some supplies which would be really useful if needed like cleaning products and hand soaps. Along with some welcome gifts of milk, juice and cookies :) loved our stay!!

The instructions of what to do with used bedding and towels at the end of the stay were not very clear, so we got a bit confused, but tried our best!

Very cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Good location on the edge of the moors and close to a town for shops etc. Great base for exploring.
