"Awesome quiet beach location."

Fresh scones and warm welcome on arrival. Peaceful location and great views of sea - from lounge, veranda and even while lying in bed! Short hop to the beach (30 secs), great for a walk/run/swim and an enamelled bath outside with a hot water supply to lie in with a cold beer after. We loved it! Thanks.

"A great place to relax and unwind - well appointed and comfortable."

A very special part of New Zealand if you want quiet with views right out onto the beach which we enjoyed walking along, especially in the evening - had it all to ourselves. Nicely appointed accommodation, comfortable bed and very yummy scones! Can certainly recommend to others.

There is no TV. If you like to relax and do a puzzle (which we did) or play games, read a book, walk the beach etc. you can step of the treadmill of life for a wee bit.

"A room with a view."

Amazing location, right on a long, sandy beach. The host has warm scones with jam and butter waiting when you arrive.

The furnishings are a bit tired. The mattress is soft, the futon dips in the middle, there are only two dinner plates in the cupboard.

We loved having our own space just off the beach. It was homely and warm with the fire going and had everything we needed for a couple of days away. It felt like all the details were thought of and we loved it

"Absolute beachfront in peaceful location"

Amazing location right on a big sandy beach. Loved all the tuis in the trees. Immaculate cottage had everything you need. Really well stocked with coffee, tea, milk etc plus plenty of bathroom toiletries and towels. Super comfy bed including electric blanket. Great supply of books and games and excellent wifi. Easy parking. Heaps of firewood for the wood burner. Not far from Punakaiki (south) and Cape Foulwind seal colony (north). Local pub has great food. Highly recommend this cottage. Great value for money.
