Triple Deck Cottage 2 mins from Mevgaissey Harbour

Leider hatters nur ein Bad und eine Toilette (im Bad) bei 6 Personen ist das ein No Go. Die Matratzen waren zwar sauber aber die Qualität war sehr schlecht. Wir alle haben sehr schlecht geschlafen und hatten Rückenweh. Es gab keine Kaffeemaschine. Der TV im 1. Stock und Alexa haben nicht funktioniert. Das Sofa könnte eine Reinigung gebrauchen.

Five of us stayed for 4 nights and the location is great as it’s close to the harbour. There is only one permit to park in the local car park so we had to pay £30 for the second car. There is a short cut through a door at the back of the car park making it just a couple of minutes walk back to the property. The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. Although the kitchen is tiny, we found it well equipped for our needs. The heater in the dining room worked well, as did the bedroom ones making the rooms warm.

The bathroom floor is cold and can be slippery. It needs a rubber backed bath mat for when you get out of the high sided bath/shower. Three of us almost slipped over getting out of the shower. Also needs some hooks beside the shower to hang your towels on. Very lacking in shelf space for toiletries especially with 5 of us staying. Also the property really does need a second toilet or at least have it separated somehow. I appreciate it’s a small property and might be a challenge, but with 5 staying it’s not easy juggling the use of the one room. The biggest issue was our double bed in the top room. The mattress was unbelievably uncomfortable and gave very poor sleep. Lumpy and the left hand side slopes to the edge of the bed. That definitely needs addressing urgently. However, I’ve now read reviews on here from 2024 who have said the same thing, so it’s very disappointing to see this has not been addressed. I would urge the owner to go and sleep in that bed for one night!

Apart from not being used to stairs it was lovely in a very pretty village, handy to bus if needed

Well located

Very high step to enter and exit the property, my mother found this a real challenge with limited mobility, all it needs is one or two grab handles to help with balance.

Our 2nd time staying at Triple Deck. If you are looking for somewhere lower level and close to the harbour, look no further! The cottage is very well equipped.

Only criticism would be that the 2nd double bedroom is in the smallest room on the top floor and it's wardrobes are blocked by the bedside tables. A very minor issue.

Had everything you needed.the beds were comfortable to sleep the couches were comfortable.could do with a toilet to the bathroom.

The underside of the stairs was a bit dangerous you had to be careful you didn't bang your head apart from that everything was fine.

Fab location, great size house, lovely bed! Loved our stay.

Shower lacked power, but it did the job. No probs.

Location was just right not in amongst the hustle & bussle but close enough not to be far to wander home on an evening. Great bedrooms. Parking at the willow car park was not an issue with the back gate being a short walk to the property. Also with the parking cost being in the property price was a nice touch.

All very lovely just some constructive feedback. Bathroom needs a digital power shower & some under floor heating. Also could do with a second toilet for 6 adults sharing. Could do with a stair gate across stairs to keep children/dogs safe.
