Hope Cottage, Great Longstone

Charming cottage, full of character. All essentials provided. Perfect location in a quiet village with two very good pubs/restaurants close by. Stunning scenery and just a short drive to Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Walking and cycle routes close by. There is an undercover passage from the little terrace, which is perfect for storing bicycles.

Slight fusty smell on arrival, but this improved once the windows were opened and heating on. It didn't spoil our holiday and we would definitely return. No other issues at all. We loved it.

Very cute cottage easy access to walks and parking right outside. Great to have a dishwasher in such a small space. Great Longstone is a fantastic village with two nice pubs and a cafe in walking g distance.

It could do with a refresh of the whole decor

Great place to be based for a climbing weekend.

Quite dark and no real outside space but in line with description.

The property is well located for nearby hiking routes. It is a very comfortable base to go back to after a long day of walking.

Nothing really

Lovely little quaint cottage, quiet location, lovely pubs walking distance, with great food, lots of local walks. Ideal for couples, small family as only two bedrooms, perfect size for us, everything you need provided.

Security light to gain entrance to cottage at the side wasn't working, although the front door could be used instead. Slight musty damp smell in kitchen, but as it's an old building only to be expected.

Great location for walking. Property had homely feel. Firm comfy beds.

Some aspects of property a bit tired - eg kitchen (despite some newer appliances). Outside area not really usable - cramped, almost no sun at any time of day, small area shared with the bin!
