'Sounion' - Fabulous, spacious modern house with large private garden in Leafy Lytham

Lovely, modern extended dormer bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac with lots of space and very big rooms. Nice mature rear garden. 25 minute walk into the centre of Lytham through the lovely woodland at Witch Wood.

A bit rushed on the final morning with a few chores that we were asked to do, as well as a 10 am departure.

Spacious, beautiful home and garden in a peaceful location. 3 bathrooms which was very useful. Lovely touches such as tea, coffee, biscuits and wine on arrival. Everything you need in kitchen cupboards eg. scissors, matches … The house was very clean.

The couch bed - my son slept on this and at 5’9 his feet were hanging off the end. This was very uncomfortable for him. May be wise to purchase a proper couch bed if the home is being advertised as sleeping 6.

We had a very relaxing holiday my grandson and his partner loved all the games that were the there and had a great time they loved e v erything about as did gran and papa t here was everything there for our use it was great

Nothing to dislike

I was in a pickle having nowhere to stay but the amazing host David rallied round and had the property ready for me in just over an hour. Very grateful. The house is very spacious and has everything you need including Alexa! Our dog loved the enclosed garden. The power shower is amazing and one of the beds has memory foam.. heavenly. The chocs, wine and cookies left for us was very thoughtful. The property is in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac.. perfect for us. We would come back and stay in a heartbeat in the warmer months. Thank you David for a lovely stay. 4.5 Stars

Nothing really but this is just info for people due to visit and I'm being honest... You cannot change the heating setting above 23 degrees. The owner did say that the heating is normally put on at lunchtime ready for guests at check in. It's a big property to heat up so we were a little chilly in the evenings but this is April. Probably not relevant in the height of summer. The instructions to strip the bedding and put towels in special bags and clean surfaces etc before leaving.. you are the guest for which you are paying a premium rate. We are considerate guests anyway but we feel that this is a cleaner's job. Location could be better. Quite a walk to the beach. Fine on sunny days but not on rainy days.
