Jack's Place

The beds were comfortable. The house is very spacious. We were only two but if we were more, it would not feel crowded. It had everything that we needed. It was a good experience having the zebra and Eland close to us.

Access to the river was not easy to negotiate,so, if that is going to be a feature that you advertise, it would be advisable to make it easier to use. It was quite a steep decline into the river. Clambering down might be less tricky than the coming back up again.

House was very neat, friendly staff and there's wifi facility and hot water

We only slept for 1 night. We weren't in the house for more than 10 hours. As we were there for a show, but we craved coffee and there wasn't enough coffee or sugar for all of us and no milk. That would've been so nice to wake up with a lovely cup of hot coffee after such a lovely show and late night.

Shower in main bathroom not clean

The house is fully equipped with all you need besides a washing machine. It's very peaceful and quiet. There's a cute Zebra that roams around the 2 houses (far apart) there's Eland, springbucks, zebras, birds and cows.. There's bike and walking trails which we enjoyed. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure is good. WiFi works well but no cell network at all. Not far from town and the gravel road isn't bad for a sedan.

This was exactly the little farm escape we were looking for. We woke up to zebra and eland everyday. It was so quiet and peaceful, and we cant wait to return!

The route to the swim spot was a little difficult to figure out and getting there was a bit of a challenge. But once we were there we enjoyed it thooughly!
