At arrival my daughter and I, were met by shady characters. While waiting on the manager to wake up, his female assistant told us what we were told later, which was, that, we wil be informed shortly that the place is fully booked so the owner told me rudely that he would arrange with a neighbor guesthouse. Neighboring guesthouse owner arrived and appeared to be with a certain "doctor" who I assumed was the owner of 45 Old Paarl Road. Funny enough I heard him say the only room available was three times the price. We were then transported to Meljaa Guesthouse 1 Constable Street, where our real horror began. 1. No towels, 2. Scarce bedding, 3. Only bedding for one bed provided whilst the room is cramped with three beds 4.no soap. 5. No TV although present we were told that the remote is gone 6. No air-conditioning or heater 7 threatened to leave by ten the next morning

Shame the lady..I think she is the helper. She was friendly and respectful..other than that nothing to like.

The place is absolutely disgusting...the room was dirty.. there was a dirty cup with old coffee in....pillow cases so thin they looked old and worn-out..and no door handlers on the toilet..toilet sit falling apart..you had to call the helper everytime you need to leave the premises to open the gate...I had to clean my room before I could sleep..so dissatisfied and disappointed...oh and the fridge..both fridges stinking..we couldn't even keep our food there..I will never come back.
