The Wrea Head Hall Country House Hotel & Restaurant

Just returned from our third trip to this hotel. Seems to get better each time. The setting, building, rooms and staff all superb and the food was top notch. The bar prices were top end but not outrageous. We only had one small niggle, our superior room had no bottled water despite seeing it in the store cupboard. We shall be returning.

We absolutely love coming here ❤️ everything from the drive up into the grounds when you get that first glimpse of the magnificent building to the rooms, the food and menu choices defiantly 5* the food is made to perfection. All the staff are so friendly, helpful and tentative, it's such a lovely, relaxing place to stay. We always book the evening meal and breakfast, we love their cooked breakfast comes with black pudding and fried bread if you want this. I always have their scrambled egg too best ive ever tasted. We stayed NYD night again in my favourite room no. 34 Leicester Suite. The room is beautiful with ample space. The living room area has 2 settees by the large window and the bed is ginormous and absolutely amazing. The carvings and design just make the bed look spectacular. The bath is huge I could go on and on as everything about Wrea Head Hall is really a place you should try, it's adults only has ample parking and set in magnificent grounds all very well maintained. We have tried a few of the rooms in the Carriage House and also a room in the main building all have their own uniqueness. But again our go to room is 34. Got to say also if required there are a set of steps kept under the bed as it's so high if you need them. We will be back in the summer for our anniversary roll on July. Thankyou as ever for making our stay so special.

The quality of room, service and overall experience is fantastic

We had a 2 night stay. Overall it was positive but I feel that the rooms are overpriced. We stayed in a double room at £200 per night with breakfast. Pleasant enough but the carpet really let it down. They have cream carpets which have definitely seen much better days. Not in keeping with the hotel in feral or a room of that price. The breakfast was delicious as was dinner. The staff were really lovely too.

Christmas at Wrea Hall is wonderful. The building is magic, the rooms are perfect. The food is….too much but oh it’s so good, and if you’re selective you can avoid overdoing it. But most of all it’s the staff. I don’t know whether it’s the training, the selection or the fact that they actually enjoy looking after us old fogeys. It would be unfair to mention names for there are many that we would miss were they not there, so we say thank you for making our Christmas, thank you for giving up your Christmas and and thank you all till next Christmas when God willing we will be back.

Just home after enjoying a fabulous 4 night stay over Christmas. I cannot fault any aspect of the experience. We had stayed before so we knew what to expect room wise and Room 14 did not disappoint. The food throughout was excellent. We had emailed our meal choices in advance and, in light of my wife’s dietary requirements, had made some special requests. The chef and his team attended to all of these requests. Every member of staff - at reception, the waiting staff and the housekeeping - did everything to make the stay memorable. The dress code for the Gala Dinner on Boxing Day was ‘black tie optional’ and it was great to see so many of our fellow guests making a real effort. Reserved our room for next year already.

Been coming for the last 20 years and have seen this place beautifully transformed, however this is the first time we have come so close to Christmas. We stayed 3 nights from 18th December and as soon as we arrived we were blown away by the decorations, absolutely stunning and tastefully done ! We were in room 1 which is very comfortable and spacious. Love the freestanding bath and L'occitane toiletries! What really sets this place apart are the staff, Marian was so friendly and helpful and Leo and Josh are outstanding in the bar with their service levels. Kumar at breakfast is so proffesional (the breakfast is probably the best in the UK !) and not to forget the lovely ladies on reception! We have never been able to fault this place and will continue to keep returning. Until next time ...

Everything, staff was very polite and friendly, room was spotless, everything we needed, food was excellent, drinks was reasonably priced, will definitely be going again.
