"Beautiful spot"

9.0

Perfect location, lovely terrace with a view of the viaduct and amazing service from the host - thanks Mike! There was a breakfast option available which looked good but we didn't partake.

Our room was a little small, but the bathroom and terrace were generous so it was workable.

"Not luxury"

6.0

Not quite sure how this is luxury? Booked for my husbands 70th birthday and for me to relax after a operation, been to Knaresborough many times and love it but this product isn't luxury, booked the hot tub room no fresh flowers in room as stated and you CANNOT see the viaduct when you are in the hot tub, basically you are in a back yard staring at a brick wall(lovely sunny trap),was clean apart from bedside lamps covered in dust bed very comfy that's all its got going for it,parking not great if you not 1st there, not very private as room is alongside reception whilst we were in the room listened to a very intense conversation mike (the owner) had with the police ,a lot of comments we probably shouldn't have heard but not gonna put that on hear ,that night music was loud left it till after midnight then message him as music was coming from his room,it stopped immediately and the nxt day apologised and left bottle prosecco for us ( no disrespect but I don't drink anyway) and the argument was if I had been playing music I would have got a bollocking, anyway for over £200 per night i won't be going back i will find my luxury else were

"Lovely cottage in great location"

10.0

Room was a good size and very clean with good facilities. Hot tub was amazing and was very private. Mike was very friendly and gave us tips about the area. Location is great, right next to the viaduct and close to train station, town centre, castle and Mother Shiptons Cave. Lots of riverside cafes and you can hire rowing boats. We opted to pay extra for a continental breakfast at the property - we got coffee, juice, toast, croissants, breads, meat and cheeses and more and ate it on the roof terrace overlooking the viaduct. Would definitely stay again if we came back to Knaresborough.

Nothing regarding the property. The road is access only for traffic and is narrow and full of people walking so need to be mindfull. Also the road up to the train station/town is very steep and cobbled so could be an issue if stuggle with mobility.

The location and the host were gr8 and attentive.

Maintenance required. The bathroom was dark at night as 1/2 of the lights are not working. The double glazing units in the bedroom window were faulty with condensation between the pains of glass. This was the window supposed to be used to view the impressive bridge advertised. These are not complaints just observations. I work in Construction so notice these things.
