Great property. Room exceptionally clean. Fantastic host

Location was fine.

Not as advertised, said there was a sitting out area and host said it wasn’t available & that was why I booked here as I like to sit out whatever the weather,Bed uncomfortable and very small bedroom, not worth £110 a night.

We decided to check out the parking before we booked, as we arrived Mike was outside he gave us his parking spot which was great and he sorted our double room really quickly at such short notice explained key codes etc and info as to where to eat etc!! Room was so compact mirror on wall which we couldn't use without moving the chair Wardrobe inside a small cupboard which we decided not to use only sockets that were visible at the time had to keep crouching down to plug hairdryer in kettle phone charger etc Bathroom was across the hall however it was lovely with a slipper bath and large shower with added toiletries etc there was an outside terrace but it was not accessible to us as it had vases blocking the door maybe it's only accessible in summer months however my husband would have liked the choice to stand out there to vape instead of going downstairs and outside each time!! Room was extremely hot even without the heating on so window was left open during the night no bedside shelves to put coffee cups on or phones or water for £100 a night we felt it lacked that extra touch room was on the small side however location was ok!!

What a magical place to stay everything about it is perfect. We stayed for 3 nights. We stayed in the Pink Room, most comfortable bed we’ve slept in and the pillows were amazing too. Lots of treats left in the room, biscuits, tea coffee and chocolate complete with marshmallows. View from the window is the viaduct which was lovely especially when it is lit up at night! Hairdryer is light in weight but brilliant to use and dries hair very quickly. Lots of bits added to the bathroom, shower/shampoo gel, cotton buds and cotton pads. Even sanitary bags left in the drawer. Everything is taken into account when thinking about the guests. Dressing gowns are provided in the room too! Fresh flowers were a lovely touch! Mike the host is just amazing, so friendly and shared information on where to eat and he wasn’t wrong! He made us feel very welcome and we definitely will return! The housekeeping staff are brilliant too very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is decorated brilliantly with a personal touch, lots of things to look at which add a lovely feel to the place. A lovely seating area downstairs where it was lovely to read and have a glass of wine. We visited the Black Mulberry (about a minute walk away) for breakfast which was lovely and very reasonable plus you get a discount if you mention you stay at Teardrop Cottage. Teardrop Cottage is situated perfectly for visits to the cave, castle and town centre. We visited Harrogate by train £6.20 for two all round tickets. We were there 4 days and didn’t move the car off the drive once. Well worth staying here it’s an experience for sure we didn’t stop talking about it on the journey home. Can’t wait to go back!
