Ponders End

David and Agnes were really good hosts and went out of their way to make sure everything was good for us. First morning we had the normal breakfast but found it was too much and had only a half portions the rest of our stay, our decision. Found out whilst driving out of the drive that if using satnav, instead of putting Burnt House Road we put in St. Georges Lane the satnav took us there easier.

The path from the drive to the house was a bit awkward as my wife was using a walking stick after a recent fall.

It was my birthday the day we arrived and the host had put up a banner for me and put a little happy birthday video on the TV which was really cute and a sweet touch I appreciated. Host was very knowledgeable on the island and gave us lots of great suggestions on where to go.

The owners were friendly and very helpful

Information provided was inaccurate. Difficult to find initally. Meant to have garden view and bottom floor, instead view of washing line and street. Upstairs room which was inconvenient for my mother aged 90. Bathroom, couldn't swing a cat, if you sat on toilet, your knees hit the wall in front. Lock to room was difficult to use and got locked in. Breakfast was passable, beds not that comfy. Fridge and tea/coffee/water was supplied, which was good. Not a great stay in all

It was a full english breakfast more than adequate. David and Agnes are a lovely devoted couple caring for their guests. The room facilities were more than expected. Additional requests were met with absolute assistance we were made welcome from the first minute
