"Excellent"

On arrival Angus, the owner, was most welcoming and came to look at our classic car that we'd travelled in. We were shown the dining room, sitting room and bedroom with en suite. They were all spotlessly clean and very tastefully furnished. Whilst we unloaded the car, Angus made us tea/coffee and brought this to us in the sitting room. He sat chatting and advised us what was around the area and suggestions for an evening meal. We chose the pub at Etal which was an easy, short drive away. Breakfast was excellent with several options available. The Gables is in a lovely, peaceful location and our classic car was safe, which is always a priority when looking for accommodation. We would certainly stay here again.

Angus is an exceptional host, friendly with a wealth of local knowledge. Great recommendations on where to eat and visit. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Also fabulous breakfast. We had a very memorable stay and will definately stay again. We highly recommend the Gables to everyone. Thankyou.

Having to checkout. I would love a longer stay.
