The local Pub is now shut on a Wednesday so had to drive to the next village for a meal

"A lovely short break to see Swallowtail Butterflies,and we were lucky."

Location was ideal for us.Breakfast was fine cooked lovely,could improve on the sausage,service was just right,the property was situated in a very quiet area and with easy walking distance to the pub,with yet again very friendly staff,food was good too.

Clean, comfortable room and friendly hosts. A lovely cooked breakfast.

Unfortunately there was a succession of incidents. We were greeted with the wrong name, given the wrong key to the room, so couldn't lock it until the next day when we were given the correct key. There was a low door frame which we were not warned about and my husband cut his head. After we left we were phoned asking for the room key which we had left as instructed. Each issue was made light of. An apology and some genuine concern would have been welcome. We were also told cooked breakfast was not included in the price even though it was at the time of booking.

You didn’t state when we booked that if you wanted a cooked breakfast you had to pay extra. You should make this very clear when you take the booking. Next time we will book direct with the owners, who were really nice

"The perfect getaway"

The most beautiful garden where I could have a cuppa and enjoying the tranquility. Absolutely gorgeous! Everything else was great, great room with everything you needed and the hosts were so attentive! Offered us packages with brochures of things we could do around as it was our first time visiting Hickling and the surrounding areas. So warm and welcoming! Yummy breakfast too!

add photos for breakfast are very misleading you only get full English if you don’t book through booking.com otherwise it’s an extra £8 if you use booking.com

Ian and lyne were excellent hosts and a lovely breakfast was cooked by lyne could not fault them in any way would stay there again
